CANOEING:
We have a two person canoe for your use, free of charge. The magnificent Tweed River runs along Mt Warning Road, which has many wonderful places to explore. We can provide a delicious picnic hamper to take upstream, complete with a bottle of wine or champagne. |
CLIMB MT WARNING:
Just 4km from our property on Mt Warning Rd is the magnificent mountain, Mt Warning (aboriginal name 'Wollumbin' meaning Cloud Catcher). The climb takes around 5 hours return, allowing for half an hour at the top for viewing. It has a 360 degree view of everywhere, and is well worth the climb. Remember to pack decent walking shoes, a back pack, large drink bottle, some fruit and maybe chocolate (always a good excuse I say). See Mt Warning for more information. |
NATIONAL PARKS:
Our region is in the centre of a large volcanic caldera due to the eruption of Mt Warning over 23 million years ago, and boasts 14 national parks including The Pinnacles, The Border Ranges & The Nightcap Ranges.

BEACHES:
We have many lovely beaches nearby including world renown Byron Bay (approx. 40 mins), Kingscliff & Fingal Heads (approx. 25 mins), Chinderah, Cabarita, Hastings Point & Pottsville (approx. 20 mins). Cabarita and Fingal Heads are both dog friendly with leash free parts of the beach). During the winter months all these beaches have whales and dolphins swimming just beyond the breakers, and are clearly visible from the shore. Bring your binoculars (& of course, sun protection).
GOLF:
Murwillumbah Golf Course is a spectacular course, with large sweeping lawns right under the mountains. The views are incredible, and the course is very well looked after. And the club house does great meals. And just $2 joining fee! See Murwillumbah Golf for more information and menus.
