Water Lodge, overlooking a tranquil lake fringed with waterlillies, is distinctly Asian in flavour. It features two intricately carved wooden joglos, or canopies, which were rescued from an ancient Indonesian palace and reassembled piece by piece without using a single nail.
An enormous central breezeway with spa and fish pond add to the tropical & tranquil feel. A truly intriguing & exotic place to stay, guaranteed to refresh mind, body & spirit.
Heavy wooden carved doors mark the passage from the kitchen/lounge wing out onto the breezeway and another set leading into the master bedroom. Here a spectacular king sized bed is suspended from the joglo on thick chains and looks straight out across the lake. The Asian theme is continued with an elaborate chandelier and Asian figurines set into wall sconces of the lounge, and hand painted Asian wallpaper in the bathroom.
This delightful lodge features:

- Spa & opium day bed beside the Koi pond in the breezeway

Read our what our guests have to say:
"After spending the 1st night of our honeymoon at 'Air', we spent another 3 nights here at 'Water'. What a great place to relax after our hectic wedding schedule! The ultimate combination of luxury, nature, exoticness & romanticism. 4 days is not enough. Best accommodation we have stayed in Australia! Casey & Phil, thanks for your hospitality. We will definitely be back to checkout out 'Earth' - Ken & Claire (Feb 06)
"This is a special place! Full of so many interesting carvings, from doors to ceilings ... the energy is so peaceful. I don't think there is a better place for me to spend my 30th birthday, plus Darren asked me to marry him on top of Mt Warning ... This will always be a special place for us (thanks Phil for the beautiful meal you cooked us)" - Belinda & Darren (Sept 06)
"What a way to start married life! Gone are the stresses of organising family & friends - time to focus completely on each other! First day - 2 naps, 4 spas ... need we say more? Phil and Casey made us feel so welcome right from the start. All we need now is Grandma's cheesecake recipe" - Simone & Rob (Nov 08)
"We have stayed in 'Air' (twice), 'Earth' and now 'Water'. All of the lodges are incredibly beautiful in their own way and it's a wonderful way to relax and unwind away from the daily grind. Thanks Phil and Casey, will be back soon" - Wayne & Claire (June 08) |
